What's up with this Vegan Blog?

I'm the type of person that likes to get as much information on subjects that concern me as I can.  Finding info about Veganism is fairly easy to do, but personal stories offer the most intriguing details of the experience.

Me:  Male 36 years old.
I have eaten meat and dairy most of my life.  However, I gave up Beef in 2002.  I remain a slender person though I've been eating most all other meats since then.  Cheese is probably one of my favorite things to eat, and it will be hard to give that up.  But because my ex was Vegan, I'm fairly knowledgeable about what I can and cannot eat if I want to avoid all animal products.  Most people don't know what Veganism is all about or the reasons behind it.  More than that, many don't know the definition.  Try and order vegan at a steakhouse or Italian restaurant and see what kind of reaction you get!

I have several health issues.  Some I have been dealing with most of my life and some have recently revealed themselves as I've hit my mid 30's.  Here is a list of health issues I currently deal with:

Insomnia
Depression
Anxiety
Lack of mental focus / memory problems
Extreme Fatigue
Hyperactivity
Bursitis
Aching of the joints and muscles (Could be Fybromalgia)
Slender but not healthy (Muscle is giving way to fat)
Seasonal Allergies

There are more, I'm sure.  The list sounds like the side-effects to a pharmaceutical drug.  Interesting...
Here is what I have taken in the past for these problems:

Prozac
Lexapro
Ibuprofen
Tylenol
PainKillers
Claritin
Pseudoephedrine

Some of those drugs helped and some haven't.  Overall, my health is not improving.

So here I am.  I'm biting the bullet and giving up the animal.  This blog will document every detail through the experience.  If not simply to journal it for myself, I hope it will educate others on the positive effects from giving up all animal products and living on a vegan diet.
